California Court of Appeal

Innes v. Diablo Controls, Inc., 145528

In a petition to compel inspection of certain records of defendant pursuant to Corporations Code section 1601, the trial court's denial of plaintiff's motion is affirmed where: 1) Jara v. Suprema Meats, Inc. (2004) 121 Cal. App. 4th 1238 held that section 1601 requires that the records be made available for inspection at the office where such records are kept; and 2) plaintiffs' contention that Jara does not govern records like those in this case that are maintained out-of-state is rejected.
