Conviction for battery with serious bodily injury and assault is affirmed. The Court held that CALCRIM No. 3472 is a correct statement of the law of self-defense and People v. Ramirez, 233 Cal. App. 4th 940 (2015) doesn't apply where the party claiming a right to self-defense did not use deadly force.
