In an action brought by the beneficiary of an irrevocable trust that was administered by a now-deceased partner of law firm defendant, the trial court's order granting defendant's motion to quash service of an amended petition seeking damages for the alleged mismanagement of that trust, under Code Civ. Proc. section 904.1(a)(3), is affirmed where the court correctly found plaintiff did not comply with section 474 in attempting to substitute the law firm as a Doe defendant.
