California Court of Appeal
People v. Steele, 077040
Sentence for plea no contest to possession of methamphetamine and admission of a prior strike allegation after the trial court denied defendant's motion to suppress evidence are affirmed where the trial court did not err in denying the suppression motion because although sheriff's deputies detained defendant by pulling their patrol car behind defendant's parked vehicle and activating their emergency lights, officer safety justified the detention to assure that defendant did not present a danger to the deputies while they approached and investigated the vehicle.
