Defendant's multiple felony convictions arising from his theft of nine metal urns containing the cremated remains of 11 people are: 1) affirmed as to judgment on the removal of human remains counts; 2) reversed as to the judgment on two of the 11 grand theft counts; 3) affirmed on nine counts of grand theft; 4) stayed as to the sentence for the vandalism; 5) conditionally reversed where the trial court erred in denying the Pitchess motion so the trial court can conduct an in camera review.
