California Court of Appeal

People v. Soto, 042115

In a criminal challenge to probation imposed following a DUI conviction, the court modified the order granting probation and affirmed where: 1) obtaining permission to leave Monterey County or the State of California was unrelated to the defendant's crime or future criminality and was struck down as unreasonable; 2) various administrative fees were improperly imposed or erroneously applied; and 3) the trial court's imposition of multiple restitution fines was improper.
