California Court of Appeal
People v. Nestdrop, LLC, 262174
In an appeal of an injunction issued against a company that developed a software application (app) allowing a user to make arrangements for a driver to deliver marijuana products from one of certain medical marijuana businesses in the City of Los Angeles, the injunction is affirmed where the City established a likelihood of proving defendants' app caused, aided, or abetted the violation of Proposition D because, outside of the narrow exception for designated primary caregivers, it prohibits the vehicular delivery of medical marijuana to qualified participants, identification card holders, or primary caregivers in the City.
