California Court of Appeal

White v. City of Stockton, 073482

In an appeal to interpret a term limit provision found in the City of Stockton's city charter, section 606 of article VI of the Stockton City Charter, the trial court's judgment in favor of the city's interpretation is affirmed over a challenging contention that the measure imposes a limit on the cumulative number of terms a person may serve in elective office, no matter the combination of offices served, where the measure does not impose a cumulative limit.
