California Court of Appeal

People v. Valenzuela, 066907

Sentence and conviction of carjacking, Pen. Code, section 215(a), reckless evasion of a peace officer, Veh. Code section 2800.2(a); and possession of methamphetamine, Health & Saf. Code section 11377(a), are affirmed over defendant's claims that: 1) the trial court erred by allowing the prosecutor to ask her whether she had a prior conviction for reckless evasion; and 2) Proposition 47 requires this court to reduce the possession count to a misdemeanor and strike the one-year sentence enhancement imposed for her prison prior.
