Ellins v. City of Sierra Madre, 261968

Within the context of thePolice Officer's Bill of Rights (POBRA), which provides that a "public safety officer under investigation" by his or her "employing public safety department[] that could lead to punitive action" "shall be informed of the nature of the investigation prior to any interrogation," Gov. Code section 3303(c), the trial court's order denying the officer's writ petition seeking to overturn his dismissal due in part to his insubordination in refusing to submit to an interrogation is affirmed where a public safety officer must be informed of the "nature of the investigation" reasonably prior to any interrogation.
