California Court of Appeal

Crawford v. JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., 257412

In a case arising out of a self-representing lawyer's threatening conduct at a deposition, in an underlying action for breach of contract, negligence and elder abuse, the trial court's grant of defendant's motion for terminating sanctions is affirmed where such sanctions were proper in light of plaintiff's failure to pay sanctions, harassing behavior, highly contemptuous statements made to the court, brandishing pepper spray and use of a stun gun.
