Sharif v. Mehusa, B255578

In an action for attorneys' fees in an underlying employment law dispute, in which plaintiff prevailed on her Equal Pay Act claim while defendant prevailed on her overtime and wage claims, the trial court's award of offset attorneys' fees to both parties which resulted in a net award to plaintiff is affirmed over her claim that she was the prevailing part on a "practical level" under Code of Civil Procedure section 1032(a)(4), where when there are two fee shifting statutes in separate causes of action, there can be a prevailing party for one cause of action and a different prevailing party for the other cause of action.
