California Court of Appeal

In re R.G., A144684

In an appeal by a nonminor defendant within the transition jurisdiction of the juvenile court, Welf. & Inst. Code section 450, challenging a finding that he was ineligible for extended foster care support payments because he was neither employed at least 20 hours per week not participating in a program or activity that promoted or removed barriers to employment, as required to receive financial support under the California Fostering to Success Act, sections 11403(b)(4) and (b)(3), the juvenile court's judgment is reversed where the court erred when it found that his documented efforts to obtain employment did not constitute compliance with the requirements of section 11403(b)(3).
