In a suit against 20 defendants that plaintiff alleged were jointly and severally liable for causing him to suffer personal injury, and in which plaintiff rejected a joint Code of Civil Procedure section 998 offer to settle the action, the trial court's award of costs for expert witness fees to 14 of the dismissed defendants is reversed where because no judgment has yet been entered with regard to six of the 20 defendants on whose behalf the section 998 offer was made, the trial court erred in awarding expert witness fees to the 14 dismissed defendants.
