California Court of Appeal
Collier v. Harris, G048735
n a dispute between active supporters of competing candidates in a local school board election, in which defendant registered plaintiff's name and the name of an advocacy group she formed as domain names, and then redirected all Internet users who visited those Web sites to the Web sites for the candidates he supported, alleging defendant registered the domain names and illegally used them to mislea the public into thinking she supported his candidates, the trial court's denial of defendant's motion to strike the complaint under the anti-SLAPP statute, Code Civ. Proc. Section 425.16, is reversed where it erred in denying defendant's motion without determining if plaintiff presented evidence establishing a probability of prevailing on her claims.
