In a suit brought by taxpayer organizations challenging a November 2006 settlement agreement which resolved a lawsuit related to land taken for use as part of a regional flood-control facility, the trial court's denial of defendants' anti-SLAPP motion is affirmed where plaintiffs' action falls within the public interest exception to the anti-SLAPP statute provided in Code of Civil Procedure section 425.17.
