Westchester Secondary Charter Sch. v. LA Unified Sch. Dist., B261234

In an appeal stemming from a charter school’s request for classroom and related space for the 2014-15 school year, the trial court's rejection of plaintiff's claim that the school district had not complied with its obligations under Proposition 39 is affirmed where: 1) the district did make reasonable efforts to place the school near its desired location; 2) the school was not entitled to a specific location of its choosing, only reasonable efforts to place it near its desired location; and 3) the district did not abuse its discretion by placing the school in one location instead of another.
