California Court of Appeal

In re Z.S., B252184

Father appeals from orders terminating his parental rights and the subsequent order finalizing his children's adoptions. The appeal is dismissed as untimely filed and for lack of standing, where: 1) Father's appeal from the order terminating parental rights was untimely, and this court has no jurisdiction to review the order; 2) the doctrine of constructive filing does not apply; 3) Father cannot collaterally attack the order terminating parental rights by noticing an appeal from the order finalizing the adoptions; 4) Father has forfeited review of the alleged defects in notice, and even if he had not, any error was harmless; 5) the juvenile court did not abuse its discretion in denying Father's request for a continuance; and 6) the maternal grandmother does not have standing to appeal, nor does the father have standing to appeal the adoption order.
