The trial court's order denying defendant's petition for resentencing on his 25 years to life sentence is affirmed, where: 1) the trial court's conclusion that defendant's release would pose an unreasonable risk of danger to public safety was well within the court's discretion; and 2) Proposition 47’s more restrictive definition of "unreasonable risk of danger to public safety" was not intended to displace the broader definition of the Three Strikes Reform Act already in use.
