Conviction and sentence of defendant for five counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child is affirmed, where: 1) the jury was correctly instructed on the statute of limitations; 2) the delay in prosecuting this case was fully justified, as the 1989 crimes were not reported to law enforcement until 2007, after which the prosecution was initiated promptly; and 3) a very strong showing of prejudice was therefore required to prove that defendant had been denied due process as a result of the delayed prosecution, which defendant did not make.
