In this case involving the construction of a large conference center and guest center on the University of California Los Angeles campus, the trial court's order granting defendants' anti-SLAPP special motion to strike (Code of Civil Procedure section 425.16) all causes of action is affirmed, where: 1) defendants met their burden of demonstrating that their conduct and statements were acts in furtherance of the constitutional right of free speech, in connection with a public issue or an issue of public interest; and 2) plaintiffs failed to demonstrate a probability of prevailing on their claims.
