California Court of Appeal

In re J.C., B255676

The juvenile court’s orders taking jurisdiction of Father M.C.’s son J.C. and placing him in foster care is affirmed, where: 1) the court assumed jurisdiction in part based on the drug abuse and misconduct of Mother; 2) there was sufficient evidence that Father knew that Mother was taking drugs while she was pregnant and did nothing to protect his unborn child from her misconduct; and 3) there is substantial evidence that J.C. would be at risk if he were returned to Father.
