California Court of Appeal
People v. Walker, B254183
In this case, defendant was convicted and sentenced to prison for four counts of driving under the influence causing injury, and the counts named four of the nine people he hit. The restitution order requiring defendant to pay restitution to four persons, two of whom had not been named but whom defendant conceded were involved in the accident, is affirmed, where, in situations in which multiple injuries arise out of a single incident, a criminal defendant in the present circumstances can be ordered to pay restitution to victims injured in that incident who are not named in the charging document.
