California Court of Appeal

Wofford v. Super. Ct., D064633

Following conviction, defendant was sentenced under the Realignment Act to serve a portion of her sentence in the community under mandatory supervision, a condition of which requires her to obtain the superior court’s consent before moving to another state. Petition for writ of mandate challenging the denial of defendant’s motion requesting that she be allowed to submit an application for a transfer of her supervision to another state is granted, where mandatory supervision releasees serving their sentences in the community under the Realignment Act are eligible to apply for transfers under the Interstate Compact.
