California Court of Appeal

People v. Fields, A135605

Conviction of defendants Fields and Griffin for eight counts of pimping, pandering, and committing sexual offenses against minors, and a restitution award made jointly and severally against defendants, is: 1) reversed as to the order of restitution against Fields, where, applying the reasoning of People v. Woods, a defendant convicted of being an accessory after the fact cannot be ordered to pay restitution because his conduct did not cause the loss for which compensation was sought; and 2) affirmed as to all other judgments against both defendants.
