California Court of Appeal

Knutsson v. KTLA, B251567

The trial court's order denying defendant's motion to compel arbitration is affirmed, where: 1) plaintiffs entered into a personal service agreement with defendant, and such agreement was subject to three-step grievance and arbitration provisions; 2) the three-step grievance and arbitration provisions do not allow defendant to compel arbitration; and 3) it is the trial court, not an arbitrator, that resolves the substantive arbitrability issue.
