California Court of Appeal

Litwin v. iRenew Bio Energy Solutions, LLC, B248759

In a class action alleging that defendants engaged in false advertising of their bracelet that defendants claimed used the body's "biofield" to improve strength and wellness, the trial court's approval of a settlement agreement and award of attorney fees is reversed, where: 1) the trial court did not abuse its discretion in awarding attorney fees, but 2) the requirement that objectors attend the final approval hearing to have their objections heard violated class members' due process rights.
