California Court of Appeal
Ramos v. Brenntag Specialties, Inc., B248038
Dismissal of an action for negligence, negligence per se, strict liability, and loss of consortium, alleging that plaintiff's exposure to defendant's products during his employment at a metal foundry caused his pulmonary fibrosis is: 1) affirmed in part, as to the claim for negligence per se; but 2) reversed in part and remanded as to the remaining causes of action, where the component parts doctrine does not shield a product supplier from liability when a party alleges that he suffered direct injury from using the supplier's product as the supplier specifically intended.
