The trial court properly denied defendant's demurrer to plaintiff's complaint which asserts claims seeking to disgorge all monies defendant-construction companies allegedly illegally received from contracts with the Sweetwater Union High School District, where: 1) plaintiff alleged sufficient facts to invoke associational standing to pursue taxpayer suits under Code of Civil Procedure section 526a; and 2) a demand to the school district and refusal was not required before plaintiff could initiate its action against defendants.
