California Court of Appeal
American States Insurance Co. v. Travelers Property Casualty Co., B243003
In a dispute between insurers over coverage for an injury incurred by an operator of a leased food truck when she was burned inside the truck by oil from a deep fryer that splashed on her, judgment that the auto insurer was responsible for coverage is reversed and remanded, where: 1) the primary purpose of the food truck was not to transport persons or cargo; and therefore, 2) the commercial general liability policy coverage for products liability applied in this case.
