Defendant's conviction for first degree murder, with a finding that he committed the murder in the commission of a robbery, and sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus one year, are affirmed, where: 1) defendant was 18 at the time of the crime; and 2) defendant's sentence is not grossly disproportionate to the nature of the offense or to defendant's culpability given the planning in which defendant engaged, as well as the unprovoked and vicious nature of the crime.
