California Court of Appeal
In re A.F., A137913
When a guardian of a former juvenile court dependent dies and an otherwise-eligible adult youth seeks to maintain public assistance payments which may be available until the age of 21 if certain requirements are met and the adult youth continues under the care of their guardian, the statutory scheme authorizes the appointment of a successor guardian even though the adult youth has already reached the age of 18.
