Littlefield v. County of Humboldt, A135628

Summary judgment for defendant-county in plaintiff's suit for conversion and violation of their constitutional and statutory rights to be free from unreasonable search and seizure and deprivation of property without due process, arising out of defendant-county's seizure and destruction of approximately 1,500 pounds of marijuana, is affirmed, where the trial court did not err in finding that: 1) the deputies had probable cause for the seizure; 2) defendant-county lawfully destroyed the cannabis; and 3) plaintiffs failed to proffer admissible evidence that their possession was lawful.
