Judgment for defendant in plaintiff's action alleging disability discrimination under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) is affirmed, where: 1) plaintiff was a volunteer Police Reserve Officer for defendant who served without remuneration; 2) defendant's extension of workers' compensation benefits to volunteers does not transform the volunteers' status to that of "employee" for purposes of FEHA; and accordingly, 3) the trial court properly concluded plaintiff was not an employee and therefore could not maintain a cause of action against defendant for disability discrimination.
