California Court of Appeal

People v. Leath, B239508

Defendant's conviction of two counts of second degree robbery is affirmed, where the trial court did not err in denying defendant's motion to suppress evidence, because: 1) a voluntary relinquishment of one's identification card does not constitute a seizure as long as the encounter is consensual under the totality of the circumstances, as here; and 2) in any event, the officers had reasonable suspicion that defendant had committed a crime.
