California Court of Appeal
People v. Barnes, A135131
The Fourth Amendment is not violated when police use, with the owner's consent, the Global Positioning System (GPS) to locate a stolen cell phone, which assists in the locating and detention of defendant, and therefore the trial court properly denied defendant's motion to suppress evidence, and his convictions for second degree robbery and related charges are affirmed.
