The plain meaning of the Holder Rule, which is required by FTC regulations to be in consumer installment sales contracts that are assigned to lenders, allows the plaintiffs to assert all claims and defenses against defendant-lender they might otherwise have against the seller of the defective mobile home they purchased, however, they may recover no more than what they have paid under the installment contract.
