California Court of Appeal

Parker v. Harbert, A134060

In family law action, judgment ordering husband to pay wife attorney's fees and costs as sanctions, is affirmed, where: 1) the court did not abuse its discretion by imposing sanctions pursuant to Family Law Code section 271; 2) defendant failed to designate an adequate record to evaluate his claim of error regarding the sufficiency of the evidence, and thus, it must be presumed that the judgment imposing sanctions pursuant to section 271 is correct; and 3) the imposition of sanctions did not violate defendant's state or federal constitutional rights.
