California Court of Appeal
Sino Century Dev., Ltd. v. Farley, B236912
In plaintiff's suit against defendant and others to collect almost $3 million in unpaid invoices, trial court's order awarding attorney fees in favor of the plaintiff as sanctions for a rules violation, is reversed and remanded where rule 2.30 does not authorize full compensation of all attorney fees incurred as a result of a rules violation, but only authorizes the court to award reasonable attorney fees incurred in connection with the proceedings in which the aggrieved party seeks sanctions.
