In plaintiff's suit for breach of contract, arising from a failed attempt to obtain rights to a book to make into a movie, trial court's grant of defendant's motion for summary judgment is affirmed where: 1) plaintiff failed to raise a triable issue of material fact that it had a valid transfer of copyright under section 204; and 2) no evidence showed that the purported transfer was signed by defendants' duty authorized agent, evidence of which was essential to each of plaintiff's causes of action.
