California Court of Appeal

In re R.V., Jr., D061391

In dependency proceedings, the judgment declaring petitioner's minor son a dependent of the juvenile court under Welfare and Institutions Code section 300(j) and removing him from custody based on findings that the minor was at substantial risk of sexual abuse, is affirmed where: 1) the evidence and all reasonable inferences that could be drawn from the evidence allowed the juvenile court to conclude that the minor was at risk of sexual abuse by the father within the meaning of section 300(j); and 2) substantial evidence supports the court's finding that the minor would be at substantial risk of harm if returned to the mother's custody and there were no reasonable means by which he could be protected without removal.
