In a prosecution for cultivation and possession of marijuana and other offenses, conviction is affirmed, where: 1) the trial court did not err in permitting the defendant's impeachment with his prior convictions for possession of an illegal assault weapon and unlawful planting or cultivation of marijuana in violation of Health and Safety Code section 11358, as both offenses were crimes of moral turpitude; and 2) had the prior convictions been excluded, the defendant's contradictory and evasive testimony would still have harmed his credibility to the extent that there was no reasonable probability of a more favorable outcome.
