California Court of Appeal
People v. Scott, H034764
On appeal of a sentencing order prohibiting a defendant who was convicted of sexually abusing two minors from visitation with both victims: 1) the judgment is modified to specify that the no-visitation order did not apply to the defendant's daughter, where she was over 18 at the time of contemplated visitation; and 2) the trial court is ordered to strike all references to prohibited "contact" from the abstract of judgment, as a) the clerk’s entry of such a prohibition had to be deemed a case of clerical error, and b) it did not appear from the record that an order prohibiting contact, if made, would have been authorized.
