Conviction and sentence on multiple criminal counts is affirmed, where: 1) the defendant forfeited appellate review of his claim that the trial court violated Penal Code section 1027 by denying his request for the appointment of a second mental health professional to examine him and perform an evaluation for purposes of his insanity defense; 2) the defendant made no showing of diligent trial preparation or good cause for a continuance of trial to allow for a second section 1027 evaluation; 3) the trial court acted within its discretion by denying the defendant's mistrial motion; 4) there was sufficient evidence to support the conviction of kidnapping for robbery; and 5) the defendant did not show extraordinary circumstances warranting reversal of the trial court's refusal to strike a prior three-strikes conviction.
