California Court of Appeal
Water Replenishment District of Southern California v. City of Cerritos, B226743
In a suit by a group of water pumpers and a water district concerning underground storage space in the Central Basin, the trial court's order concluding that it lacked jurisdiction is reversed, where: 1) the court had previously held that it had jurisdiction to consider a motion to allocate storage in the Central Basin; and 2) the trial court erred in finding it lacked jurisdiction to consider a provision governing the contractual transfer of water and in finding it was prohibited from appointing one of the appellants as watermaster.
