California Court of Appeal

People v. Robinson, A126064

Conviction and enhanced sentencing of defendant for assault of a peace officer with an assault weapon and other related weapons and drug offenses are upheld, where the court correctly denied defendant's motion to suppress evidence derived from a warrantless search because testing a key in the front door lock to a residence by the police was not unconstitutional and therefore evidence obtained from the test was admissible under the independent source doctrine.
