California Court of Appeal

Lanigan v. City of Los Angeles, B228686

In an appeal from a judgment of the trial court reinstating plaintiff to his former employment on a finding that a settlement of pending disciplinary charges between the parties constituted an impermissible waiver of plaintiff's rights under the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act (POBRA), judgment is reversed where a waiver of POBRA's protections is permissible in a settlement of a pending disciplinary action.
