California Court of Appeal

People v. Battle, C063012

Conviction and sentencing of defendants for conspiracy to commit murder and murder with special circumstances, arising from a contract-killing, are upheld as modified where: 1) trial court's imposition of parole revocation fines, Penal Code section 1202.45, was improper because each defendant was sentenced to an indeterminate term of life without parole; and 2) beyond the fines, the court committed no prejudicial errors.
