California Court of Appeal

People v. Reyes, H035872

Convictions for transportation of cocaine, Health & Saf. Code section 11352(a), giving false information to a peace officer, Pen. Code section 148.9(a), and driving with a suspended license, Veh. Code section 14601.2(a), are vacated where the magistrate erred in denying defendant's motion to suppress because the officer had no objectively reasonable basis to stop him, as there was nothing about defendant's vehicle to suggest that it was not properly registered in Florida, which requires only one license plate per car.
