In an unlawful detainer action, judgment in favor of defendants is reversed, because trial court erred in ruling that plaintiff failed to meet its burden to show that it satisfied the service requirements of Code of Civil Procedure section 1162 where court improperly excluded proof of service as hearsay and precluded admission by defendants that they were served with a three-day notice to pay rent or quit.
